Joseph Bradley retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after 25 years as a Special Agent. He is the founder and principal owner of iVeritasNow, LLC: a company specializing in all aspects of Credibility Assessment, Insider Threat program development, Counterterrorism interview and interrogation, and Active Shooter tactical training. Mr. Bradley has worked as an Operations Director for Law Enforcement Programs with a large US-based information technology company.
Mr. Bradley entered on duty as a Special Agent with the FBI in February 1995, and ultimately retired as the longest standing Unit Chief/Head of the FBI’s entire Polygraph Program in late 2019.
He was responsible for over 100 polygraph examiners conducting polygraph examinations world-wide for all types of investigations for which the FBI is responsible. During his tenure as a polygraph examiner with the FBI, Mr. Bradley conducted thousands of polygraph exams world-wide in support of the FBI mission.
Mr. Bradley served in the Oklahoma City Division, Baltimore Division, and FBI Headquarters during his career working major cases such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, TWA 800 Crash, Robert Hansen espionage case, DC Sniper case, 9-11, and numerous other high profile cases. He gained valuable experience investigating both international and domestic counterterrorism, violent criminal enterprises, espionage, crimes against children, public corruption, insider threat, personnel security, and internal affairs. Mr. Bradley traveled world-wide in support of these investigations and the overall FBI mission. He also served as the Senior SWAT Team Leader, and certified as an FBI Instructor, Principal Tactical Instructor, and Firearms Instructor. In addition to these investigative duties, Mr. Bradley continued to use his polygraph skills to support the FBI mission
throughout his entire career.
Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Bradley served as a Special Agent with the National Security Agency (NSA) for more than eight years. Mr. Bradley was responsible for investigating espionage cases before becoming a Technically Trained Agent. He was responsible for offensive and defensive clandestine audio/visual devices, and conducted technical investigations world-wide. Mr. Bradley served on the executive protection detail responsible for the personal protection of the NSA Director and other dignitaries. In April 1994, Mr. Bradley graduated from the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute as a certified federal polygraph examiner.
Mr. Bradley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Capitol Technology University.
Martin Woods retired from the FBI in 2021. Subsequent to his retirement, Martin Woods became a principal instructor with iVeritasNow. He also worked as an independent contractor with a US based intelligence agency providing polygraph expertise and acting as a subject matter expert.
Martin Woods entered on duty to the FBI in January of 2001 and retired as a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) assigned to the Security Division, Polygraph Unit, detailed to the National Center for Credibility Assessment.
Upon entry to the FBI, SSA Woods was assigned to the Baltimore Division. SSA Woods was assigned to a Violent Crimes Major Offenders (VCMO) squad and worked primarily criminal matters. SSA Woods became a full-time polygraph examiner in 2004 after attending the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute.
SSA Woods was transferred to the St. Thomas Resident Agency, San Juan Division, in June of 2006 where he was the Virgin Islands Safe Street Task Force Coordinator.
SSA Woods was promoted in January of 2008 and assigned to FBIHQ, Polygraph Unit, as a program manager overseeing all field polygraph matters while managing the Polygraph applicant program.
SSA Woods transferred to the FBI Academy in December of 2009 where he served as an Interview and Interrogation instructor to New Agent Trainees as well as National Academy Students. He was then selected to serve as an instructor in the International Training Unit. SSA Woods has travelled internationally more than forty times teaching our foreign partners.
SSA Woods transferred to the Washington Field Office in June of 2014 where he served as a full-time polygraph examiner.
SSA Woods returned to the Polygraph Unit in June of 2015 where he was detailed to the National Center for Credibility Assessment as a polygraph instructor.
SSA Woods was also previously assigned to Legat London, where he served as Acting Assistant Legal Attache; Legat Kabul where he spent 60 days as the FBI polygraph representative in Afghanistan; and Legat Baghdad where he spent 30 days as the FBI polygraph representative in Iraq.
Prior to the FBI, SSA Woods joined the North Miami Police Department in March of 1994 as a police officer. He was promoted to a detective in 1996 and in 1997 was promoted to the homicide unit where he remained until his departure for the FBI in January of 2001. During his assignment as a detective, SSA Woods was also certified as a Computer Voice Stress Analyzer examiner in 1998.
SSA Woods holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University.
